Jaron Dandridge

Director of Community Engagement and Program Evaluation

Jaron Dandridge serves as the Director of Community Engagement and Program Evaluation for Sharing the Power Foundation, overseeing outreach to the awardee organizations which receive foundation grants. He maintains a specific focus on evaluating the organizations' overall effectiveness in accomplishing the primary funding objectives and measuring the use of grant funds across major impact categories which may include: services that provide assistance and programs to communities in need of access to clean air, water and renewable energy; workforce training opportunities in clean energy careers; home weatherization and utility bill payment assistance; and  outreach programs to small and diverse businesses geared towards participation in the clean energy economy. Jaron also engages in community needs assessment designed to provide corporate partners with recommendations on historically marginalized communities which may need assistance.

Jaron has been a champion of community engagement throughout his professional career. As a member of the Henrico County Planning Commission in his hometown of Richmond, Virginia, he is an advisor to the municipal governing body on issues and policies affecting numerous community stakeholders relating to energy, planning, land use regulations, rezoning requests, and development. An engineer by training, Jaron spent a large portion of his professional career as a manufacturing manager for several large companies across Virginia and Maryland. During his time as a manager, Jaron was recognized as a standout leader and afforded the opportunity to spearhead several continuous improvement projects.

Jaron received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Hampton University. Before transitioning to management, his career included working as a Nuclear Test Engineer for Newport News Ship Building, now Northrup Grumman. Most recently, he worked in the aerospace industry as a manager at Eaton Corporation in Beltsville, Maryland. Jaron also serves as a liaison between the foundation and Volt Energy Utility, which established the Sharing the Power Foundation as an independent not-for-profit entity.
