Executive Director, Sharing the Power Foundation
Samantha Phillips Beers serves as Executive Director of the Sharing the Power Foundation, where she leads efforts to invest in organizations advancing environmental health, energy access, and workforce development while preparing the next generation of energy and sustainability leaders.
She brings more than 30 years of experience from the United States Environmental Protection Agency, where she held leadership roles overseeing environmental enforcement, the National Environmental Policy Act, Opportunity Zones, children’s health programs, and tribal programs. Following her government service, she served as Of Counsel at Steptoe & Johnson PLLC, advising on environmental and community engagement matters, risk management, and regulatory strategy.
Phillips Beers is a graduate of Haverford College and the University of California, Berkeley School of Law. She is a Fellow of the American College of Environmental Lawyers and a recipient of the 2015 Hispanic Choice Award for Community Advocate of the Year. She serves on nonprofit boards including Puentes de Salud in Philadelphia and the Grand Canyon Conservancy.
